If you are an ultrasound operator .I bet you are familiar with thoese issues on your ultrasound probes .
Lens bubbled
Usually after using the probe a long period time ,the lens will be aged .or broken ..so the air inside the lens will be generated ..it is not difficult to see the bubble under the lens .as it will be rised and expanded ..
Strain relief cracks
Before the strain relief crack ,you may can see some sign of the faults..such as the strain relief seperated from the probe head ,once the inside wires are exposed .it can be damaged shortly and leading to more issues.,and the final repair costs will be high as well
Cable sheath damage
Tears and Cuts in the sheath can leads to serious probe damages,,what is worse ..it will be harmful for patients .
Shadows and lights in image ,
Practically .we saw the shadows ,lights ,black lines are casued by lens failture ,Cable failure ,Crystal failure
Artifacts on screen
The internal damages can cause it .for instance,crystal damage,,element dead .wire broken..sheath broken etc .
